KOOPMANS APPLE TART MIX
Thanks to Koopmans Appeltaart you can bake the most delicious Dutch apple pie in an instant. Only add an egg and a little butter to this mix for apple pie. Knead the dough well and cover about two-thirds of the springform with it. Then top it all up with a mixture of fresh-sour apple cubes, a pinch of cinnamon and possibly currants or raisins. Make nice strips of dough from the remaining dough, which you place crosswise over the apple pie. After this, the apple pie is ready to go into the oven! Just wait patiently until the apple pie is golden brown and enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
Wheat flour, sugar, raising agents (phosphate, sodium carbonates), salt, artificial flavour. Contains wheat (gluten). May contain traces of egg, milk, and lupine.
DIRECTIONS:
Apple Cake- 1 1/2 pounds Tart Apples peeled and cut into cubes or slices, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup raisins, 2-3 tablespoons cinnamon, 1 package Apple Cake Mix, 5 ounces butter, one beaten egg. Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter. Add mix and 2/3 of the egg. Use mixer until a consistent dough is made. Grease a 9' spring form pan. Take 3/4 of the dough and cover bottom and sides of pan. Mix sugar, raisins, and cinnamon into cut apples. Fill pan with apple mix and pack firmly. On floured board make long, thin rolls from the remaining dough. Place crosswise on top of apples, flatten, and brush with the remaining egg. Bake on the center rack for 1 1/4 hours. Cool one hour, and enjoy! Idea: brush 2-3 teaspoons apricot jam on cooling cake.
Store in a cool dry place.
