Silver Medal European Beer Star 2018 in the Ultra Strong Beer category for Komes Barley Wine
Barley Wine is a beer style with a very rich and intense malt aroma and a complex taste, in which the malt sweetness perfectly harmonizes with well-marked but unobtrusive bitterness. Komes Barley Wine from Browar Fortuna is the strongest version of the style rules - the beer is characterized by warmth and a dark amber-copper color.
The beer was brewed with new wave American hops - added at the end of the wort boiling and cold during fermentation, which enriches the aromatic bouquet and flavor profile of Komesa Barley Wine.
