Who is Sted Sarandos?
The namesake for our first blend of 2026 is a real under-the-radar rapscallion. Swift on his feet, running one direction then another, he is full of surprises, and so is the beer we blended in his honor…
This blend combines beer from 4 different beer streams and 5 different batches of stout. The primary component was a cohort of our ‘cereal killer’ double stout aged in Westward Whiskey casks. These contributed classic choco-vanilla overtones, lots of caramel in the Rolo/Caramello vein, and some unique birthday cake frosting attributes. We used single-cask additions of aged triple stout and young chocolate stout to bring body, cocoa powder notes, and a touch of roast and structure.
As a ‘cherry on top,’ we included a single highly-prized cask of ‘cereal killer’ stout that aged in a Stonebarn Brandyworks nocino barrel. We actually tasted several nocino casks from our cellar, and we thought that this one was the most reminiscent of amburana, the unusual, aromatic Brazilian wood known for its heady scent of cinnamon roll and ginger snap. The walnut artifacts from this cask are subtle, making it a unique expression of ‘nocino barrel-aged stout’ within our portfolio. We hope you enjoy this first release in our 2026 series of stouts, all named after some of the most creative celebrity aliases and pseudonyms we could find!
Alcohol Information
You must be 21 to purchase any product that contains alcohol, including beer, wine, and some chocolates. Delivery must accepted by an adult age 21+. All beer or wine shipments are sent via Federal Express with an adult signature sticker required on the box. Packages will not be left without signature at any residence or business. Marina Market personnel may contact you by telephone to confirm your order and age. There is an additional fee of $6.00 per shipment to cover the Adult Signature Service included in your shipping quote. This fee is imposed by FedEx.
Adult Shipping for any items containing alcohol including beer, wine, cider, and liquor-filled chocolates, requires an Adult Signature on delivery. The delivery driver cannot deliver to a person that is intoxicated, and no signature release, driver release, or indirect delivery allowed. You can opt to have your order shipped to a business, work, or even to a FedEx Station to be held for pickup. Please keep in mind that if an order is returned to us as undelivered because of non-signature, we will have to get payment to re-ship. Please see our current list of states we ship to. Our web cart will also notify you during checkout if you try to order beer or wine for delivery to a state that does not allow it by only showing "In Store pickup".
