BREWERY DESCRIPTION:
The first blend of 2025! We kick off a new year of stout blends with a new theme and fresh eyes on what we want to use from our wood cellar in the year ahead. As has become our unofficial tradition, our first release for the year is a classic: Kentucky Bourbon barrels and imperial stout. Even within this space, blending the most basic, iconic, and ubiquitous of barrel-aged offerings, there is still plenty of room for play.
For The Year of Magical Thinking, we turn back to some of the lingering casks from batches that contributed to Frostitita. With another year of age to them, the oldest casks in the blend have integrated more, with the express oak and spirit notes giving way to a more classic caramel and dried fruit expression.
The four batches in this blend were brewed over a five month period in early 2023. We found ourselves attracted to the casks with a familiar and welcoming Bourbon character: toffee, vanilla, honey, brown sugar. This spirit expression melded beautifully with the chocolatey notes from our imperial porter, the complex carameliness in our black barleywine, and the rich body of our double export stout!
Alcohol Information
You must be 21 to purchase any product that contains alcohol, including beer, wine, and some chocolates. Delivery must accepted by an adult age 21+. All beer or wine shipments are sent via Federal Express with an adult signature sticker required on the box. Packages will not be left without signature at any residence or business. Marina Market personnel may contact you by telephone to confirm your order and age. There is an additional fee of $6.00 per shipment to cover the Adult Signature Service included in your shipping quote. This fee is imposed by FedEx.
Adult Shipping for any items containing alcohol including beer, wine, cider, and liquor-filled chocolates, requires an Adult Signature on delivery. The delivery driver cannot deliver to a person that is intoxicated, and no signature release, driver release, or indirect delivery allowed. You can opt to have your order shipped to a business, work, or even to a FedEx Station to be held for pickup. Please keep in mind that if an order is returned to us as undelivered because of non-signature, we will have to get payment to re-ship. Please see our current list of states we ship to. Our web cart will also notify you during checkout if you try to order beer or wine for delivery to a state that does not allow it by only showing "In Store pickup".
