    Licorice Allsorts

Posted by Ramona on Feb 22nd 2019

Maynards Bassetts brand is not only the original brand of liquorice allsorts but is also the high end of the UK all sorts. Everyone knows the story about the salesperson who dropped his candy samples and covered his mistake by calling the mix up a new 'allsorts' blend. The flavors in all sorts are- sweet mild licorice and mostly layered flavors of chocolate, lemon, orange, strawberry, and coconut which make up the colorful bulk of the blend. The bigger all pink or all blue discs covered with nonpareil (tiny candy sprinkles) are anise-flavored soft jelly like the inside of jelly beans. Even though these are not licorice, they are my personal favorites in all sorts candy.
