Leksand's Fäbodknäcke is a slightly more luxurious bread for more festive occasions. Leksand's Fäbodknäcke is a bit crispier and thinner than regular crispbread and has a lovely home-baked taste.
The inspiration for Leksands Fäbodknäcke comes from Country Alice Gustafsson and her living shack Skallskog. Land Alice Gustafsson grew up on Landgården where baking crispbread was part of the everyday chores. After many years as a baker at Leksands, Alice has now retreated to her childhood shack where she continues to bake her shortbread.
